Creating a biography with us is easy
1. Interviews
When you commission Book of My Life to write your memoir or biography, we will match you with an experienced, professional writer. As well as being talented wordsmiths, all our writers are kind and thoughtful, and good listeners. Your writer will chat to you about your life over several hours, prompting and guiding you as you recall your experiences.
2. Writing
Your writer will then transform your unique memories into a well-crafted story. Your book will typically be written in the first person and will read as though you have put pen to paper. Once your life story has been written and edited, we will ask you to read the first draft and make any amendments or additions before we move to the next stage.
3. Design
When you are satisfied with the text, we will ask you to select a number of photographs to include. Then we’ll typeset your book and create three cover options. You will then have the opportunity to read your book again to make sure that you are completely happy with its look and content. One of our eagle-eyed proofreaders will then check for any final errors.
4. Printing
We use trusted printers to produce high-quality hardback books. With our Gold and Platinum options, the books are section sewn with a textured paper cover embossed with gold or silver lettering and wrapped in a beautiful dust jacket. As many books as you would like will then be delivered to your door so that you can share your story with your loved ones.
